Simply Media was co-founded in 2003 by Henry Scott, CEO, and Mike Luckwell, Chairman.

Henry Scott
CEO & Co-Founder

In co-forming Simply Media, Henry created the foundations for what is now a major media force in the UK's media landscape. With activity right across the value chain including production, distribution and advertising.

With revenues growing 140% year on year, Simply has been able to strategically acquire complimentary interests in local advertising, TV over IP and Captive Audience Network sectors.

An acknowledged expert in monetising content beyond the confines of traditional models of advertising, he has led the innovative work with blue-chip clients such as Yahoo!, iVillage, MSN, Nestlé, Borders and Boots that is now seen as an industry blueprint.

Henry is a founder Board member of the Electronic Retailing Association, Europe.

Mike Luckwell
Chairman & Co-Founder

Mike Luckwell has been at the forefront of the TV industry for over 30 years. Prior to co-forming Simply Media in 2003 his successful career has included setting up The Moving Picture Company of which he was Managing Director from its inception. He became Carlton Communications Plc’s Managing Director and largest individual shareholder, by the time ML left Carlton it's market capitalisation had grown from £16m to £300m. It subsequently merged with Granada to become ITV.

ML then set up Parallel Media Group Plc and built it into one of the leading international sponsorship, television production and sports programming distribution companies. ML also became the biggest shareholder in WPP which became the world's second largest marketing services group (owners of J. Walter Thompson and Ogilvy). ML invested in, and became a director of, HIT Entertainment Plc, initially a small private company which owned many children's characters, such as Bob The Builder and Barney. It grew and became a public company and was subsequently sold to Apax for approaching half a billion pounds.

ML is also a member of various media industry associations. He was one of the founders of both The Advertising Producers Association and The Independent Programme Producers Association (now PACT). Since February 2004, the date of its inception, ML has been Chairman of UK Screen formerly UK Post - the trade body, under the aegis of the Film Council, representing service companies to the screen industries.

ML is now mainly an active investor and has a broad based portfolio of interests in media and digital technology.
